Advanced 12 Lead ECG/ Cardiac Dysrhythmia Interpretation & Pharmacology Course
Course Description
Enhance your cardiovascular assessment and emergency response skills with this comprehensive 6-hour continuing education course designed for RNs, LVNs/LPNs, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals. Participants will learn a systematic approach to 12-lead ECG interpretation, identify common and life-threatening cardiac dysrhythmias, recognize ischemia and myocardial infarction patterns, and apply evidence-based clinical decision-making through interactive case studies and real ECG tracings.
The course includes a focused review of ACLS pharmacology, covering the indications, mechanisms of action, dosing, contraindications, and nursing considerations for medications commonly used during adult cardiac emergencies, including epinephrine, amiodarone, adenosine, atropine, lidocaine, magnesium sulfate, dopamine, and norepinephrine. Upon completion, participants will be better prepared to rapidly interpret ECGs, recognize cardiac emergencies, and safely apply current ACLS medication principles to improve patient outcomes.
